Passion doesn’t come from the mind. It comes from the heart so finding your purpose is much simpler than you think. Don’t think about it. Feel it.
Pressures from family. Pressures from school. Pressures from society. We have been taught to follow others and ignore our desires. We have been taught to use our mind rather than our heart because it is smarter and our emotions will only get us in trouble. Well, I call B.S. on that!
What we should have been taught, first and foremost, is how to be more of ourselves and manage our emotions. Our conscious mind, or our thinking mind, makes up only less than 10% of our being. The rest is all subconscious which houses all of our memories and emotions associated with them. How crazy is that?
“What do you wanna do for the rest of your life?” Likely, we would use our conscious mind to answer this question. The “issue” is that it tends to relate things to what has already been observed, ie. what success looks like for other people. Though, our success isn’t defined by the success of others. It is defined by how much we align with our truth. In other words, are you fulfilling YOUR passion(s)? What sparks the fire within you? This is where you are genuinely giving your 100%. Remember, passion is felt (not thought) deep within yourself, and it is only yours to keep. Own it. Use your gifts. Otherwise, you would be of disservice to others and, most of all, yourself.
